A world away from the sweaty strips of meat shoved in a kebab shop pitta, shami kebabs are more like meat patties. Normally made from beef mince, mutton or chicken with chickpeas and spices they're most commonly scoffed on the streets of Pakistan or India. Served alongside a spoonful of cool chutney made with mint or coriander, they're the perfect roadside pick-me-up to revive the weary traveller.
