While we have Jamie’s Italian, New York has the Urban Italian. You could be forgiven for thinking the pukka chappy Carmellini was Jamie Oliver himself, what with his honest-to-goodness easy-does-it approach to cooking and his love of nipping to food markets for uber fresh ingredients, but this New Yorker doesn’t even have his own restaurant. He's just launched his first book and is still looking for a site. No word yet on whether he’s signing up fifteen trainee chefs, but we'll keep you posted.
