Tuna is one of the world's favourite fish and many of the most popular species are now seriously threatened. Bluefin tuna, served to celebrity sashimi lovers, is on the same risk list as the giant panda.
To get a taste of superstar sushi without damaging the ocean, opt for Albacore tuna and whip up these crowd-pleasing tuna and avocado inside-out maki.
Shop savvy: Look for line-caught or troll-caught albacore tuna from the south Atlantic or south Pacific. Yellowfin and skipjack tuna from the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans is also (currently) fished sustainably.
