What you've got: A small attic flat kitchen with limited growing space, no window ledges and often abandoned for days at a time. It's south facing and in direct sunlight.
Gareth says: Growing veg inside will limit your choice, especially if they will be frequently left unattended. Some plants will just not tolerate it and may also attract flying pests into the home. With any pot ensure you have a tray underneath to avoid water damage.
There are still many good options, but you will be limited mainly to small vegetables, such as dwarf varieties of tomato and pepper, herbs and salad sprouts. Herbs could include parsley and basil, both of which appreciate the extra heat indoors.
