What you've got: Tubs in the front garden, a very light and open area that gets the sun most of the day. The road is reasonably quiet.
Gareth says: Remove all the soil from these Belfast sinks as it will be 'spent' and replace it with fresh compost. Make sure that the drainage is sorted and that it is possible for water to drain out of the existing plug hole.
If you're feeling adventurous, grow cucumbers. They will need to be germinated indoors and planted out once the weather has improved. Your luck may be limited in the UK but it could be interesting. Ensure you buy a variety suitable for growing outdoors.
