Bilma Chavez is a Fairtrade mango farmer from Peru
"In this region, mango prices are really bad – not high enough to allow us to live decently. Before we joined our mango growers co-operative we couldn't even cover our costs. We just had to sell for whatever price we were offered.
Now, thanks to you buying our fruit, we can keep going and improve things. We're able to plant new trees to replace old ones, we can invest. I can buy decent food and medicine for my husband who suffers from diabetes."
