These were a firm favourite, with the lavender egg finding particular favour with Cathy, who declared its floral flavour to be far ahead of the competition. The Demarquette eggs come in a standard cardboard egg box that opens onto six startling painted eggs. The flavours are bold; Spanish orange milk chocolate, milk chocolate and rich coffee, milk chocolate and java cinnamon, French lavender, dark chocolate and oriental ginger, and dark chocolate and wild peppermint.
Our survey said:
Cathy (Mum) - "These are grown-up flavours. Subtle to a grown up, but too strong for a child. The dark chocolate is snappy and smooth and not bitter, at only 65% cocoa solids it's not too rich."
Alice (aged six) - "I like the mint dark chocolate but it's not my favourite because it's quite strong."
