This ad got right to the heart of our obsession with chocolate. Not because a woman's craving for a £5 box of chocolates warranted rent-a-Bond hurling himself out of a helicopter but because it pretended that the idea of a strange man creeping into your bedroom and dropping off an anonymous gift was in no way creepy.
If he'd left her a dish of Spam we'd have been straight onto the Advertising Standards Agency.
