The business of bangers

Edwards of Conwy is a thriving local butcher’s that has grown from a tiny one-man shop to a regional institution employing more than 50 people. The business is proof of the growing national interest in home-grown produce and the increasing demand for traceable produce.

With his Welsh leg complete Andrew headed right to the heart of England to grab a bite to eat in the Black Country. After more locally produced bangers in Bromyard, he stopped to chew the cud with the organic beef producers at Pegoty Hedge Farm. The company went organic in 2001 at a time when the farming industry had just suffered the devastating effects of foot and mouth. But by offering the customer a high quality, premium product the farm has transformed into a multi-functional business selling top notch ready meals using beef fresh from their own fields.
