Behind the vast spectrum of British produce Andrew has sampled has been an even wider variety of producers, however even our wizened foodie was surprised to meet the owner of Fresh Basil in Belper. Sam Jackson co-owns and runs the successful cafe, deli and general fresh food store at just 27 years old. As well as his food emporium he's also helped launch a host of community projects including Belper's first food festival.
Feeling old but inspired Andrew headed on to the village of Stixwold in Lincolnshire, to meet rare-breed specialist James Barclay. After a suffering a series of life-changing events, a heart attack being just one of them, James decided to follow his calling and breed traditional and rare cattle and pigs.
