Protecting Britain's pies
As Andrew's tour of the East drew to a close he just had time to take in the East Midlands Food Festival, and was glad he did. As well as a mass of local produce, from cider to cheese, he got to sample some scrumptious pies. Melton Mowbray is in the final stages of the legislative process that will see the European Union decree only pies made in town worthy of the hallowed title.
As Andrew headed back on the road, belly full to the brim, it seemed Britain had yet more culinary conquests to be proud of. Now, how will East Anglia cut the mustard?
