An East Anglian adventure

Andrew's first stop was Thurlow and Letheringsett Mill - the only water mill in Britain still producing flour. Mike Thurlow won UKTV's Food Heroes for his restoration of the mill in 2006, which now supplies flour across the country from Norfolk to Nottingham.

After hearing the miller's tale Andrew headed to Cambridge and the self-titled Tree Hugging Hippy Juice Bar. As the name suggests the café is primarily a juice bar owned by Mark Jenner-Parson. But like many of the businesses on Andrew's journey Mark has diversified his deliveries and now produces all his delicious food goodies in house.

In touch with his inner hippy Andrew headed to the coast and Cookies Crab Shop in Salthouse. The rustic seafood shack was inspired by the street food owners Pete and Suzanne McKnespiey saw on their trips to Australia and the Far East. The bar doesn't have a licence but customers are encouraged to bring their own booze and glasses, and enjoy a drop to drink while tucking into the regular's favourite - kipper and tomato soup.

From rough and rustic to weird and wacky; Andrew visited culinary gizmo specialist, Infusions - the sole UK distributor for the Texturas product range conceived by molecular gastronomy master Ferran Adrià, of El Bulli. Alongside fried eggs made of coconut and caviar made of raspberry, owner John Jackman demonstrated his hand-held smoker and indestructible baking paper.

Finally, after a supping stop-off at a Suffolk winery and a meeting with a scientist-come-butcher specialising in 'Italian Stallion' sausages it was time to leave East Anglia and head to the South East Coast.
