Zemlya: Soviet government-approved cinema isn't everyone's cup of tea. However, watching Aleksandr Dovzhenko's Zemlya (aka Earth aka Soil), it's hard to believe that this beautiful, lyrical film was a product of the Politburo's powerful propaganda machine.
