Love and Death: Between Sleeper and Annie Hall came this less celebrated but no less enjoyable trawl through the travails of Allen's liberal neuroses. Set in Russia against the backdrop of the Napoleonic War, it's a fine reminder of the days when everything the director touched turned to gold.
