Bananas: To impress a girl with leftish pretensions, Allen joins government rebels in fictional San Marcos, where he is welcomed with open arms as bait for the opposition.
Allen, of course, is a fish out of water, and the joke-a-minute script keeps up the hilarity, managing to gloss over some incoherence in the drama, and Allen's as yet very basic filmmaking skills...
