Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston on The Break-Up

While the people behind The Break-Up talk a good game, Vince Vaughn talks and talks and talks...

If you've seen Vince Vaughn recently, you might wonder what happened to the young buck from Swingers. A little jowly, a bit beaten-down, world weary to the point of being cynical - in a relatively short space of time the man who looked like a refugee from the Rat Pack has transformed into a pissed-off, pudgy chap with little to look forward to except further loosening his belt.

The Vince Vaughn who's been cropping up in cinemas over the last couple of years has little in common with the dashing chap who sweeps into the Dorchester Hotel's Orchid Room this morning. Even with his nine o'clock shadow and slightly rumpled suit, there's no disputing Vaughn's cool. As he holds court for the better part of an hour, it's clear that Swingers' Trent isn't dead, he's just been taking things a little easy of late.

In contrast, Jennifer Aniston and Peyton Reed - co-star and director of The Break-Up respectively - seem a little lost for words. In actual fact both spin decent stories about the film's production, and given the recent personal hassles the former 'Friends' star has had to put up with, she's holding up very well. Some might suggest that this is because she and Vaughn are somewhat more than the film's leads. But this issue won't be tackled today because i) the ladies and gentlemen of the press have been asked to sign a waiver, and ii) Vince Vaughn's got a whole bunch of other stuff he wants to talk about.
