John Simm's personal clubbing experience turned out to be a huge asset when he turned up to the interview with Justin Kerrigan, director of Human Traffic.
After talking about clubbing for 2 hours, Justin knew he had a good chance of playing the character Jip in the film.
John Simm says that Human Traffic is an A to Z of club culture. He also thinks it would make a great public information film for any worried parent as well.
He was allowed to improvise in the film and the director told him to: "go off on one" at the end.
He had a very good laugh making the film because it is just about a group of friends having a good time.
