The festival of festivals. Combining European Riviera cool with Hollywood glam. You need to be in the film business to get accreditation but this doesn't stop hoardes of sight-seers promenading along the Croisette (sea front) or climbing palm trees to catch a glimpse of the stars climbing the red carpet. Flights and accommodation are scare, and expensive, unless you book well in advance.
