Top 5 comedy horror moments
Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn
The possessed hand sequence. Stooges violence, the squeaky Tom & Jerry voices made by the hand, the classic 'Who's laughing now? Who's laughing NOWWWWWWWW!'. Followed closely by Ash's immortal 'Groovy'.
An American Werewolf in London
Naked David Kessler running around London Zoo and half-inching a young boy's balloons - culminating in the classic deadpan child actor reaction - 'A naked American man stole my balloons'. Where is that kid now? A nation cries out!
Braindead
'The Devil is among us, and I kick arse for the lord'. Thus begins the best kung fu vicar fighting supercharged zombies scene ever. Matchless splatstick comedy.
Starship Troopers
In the aftermath of a bug attack, Michael Ironside examines the massive hole in a wounded soldiers head, before turning, almost to camera, and declaring 'They sucked out his brain!'. Priceless. A highly underrated comedy classic.
Death Line
An inbred cannibal man born and raised in the tunnels under Russell Square Tube both empathises and terrorises a kidnapped young lady with the only phrase in the English language he knows; 'Mind the doors, Mind the doors!'. One of the greatest pieces of monster acting ever.
