55. Don't Look Now (1973)

Rumours abound that Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie were actually having sex on screen for real in Don't Look Now. The censors demanded cuts to the famous horror, not for violence or gore, but because of the 12 minute sequence in which the two actors have sex intercut with scenes of them dressing afterwards.

54. Gilda (1946)

Just arrived in Argentina, small-time crook Johnny Farrell is saved from a gunman by sinister Ballin Mundson, who makes Johnny his right-hand man. But their friendship, based on a mutual lack of morals, is strained when Mundson returns from a trip with a wife: the supremely desirable Gilda (a blisteringly hot Rita Hayworth), whom Johnny once knew and learned to hate. A battle of emotions and dark sexual desire ensues. Hayworth is at her absolute, sizzling best in this film. Her performance of 'Put The Blame On Mame' is simply unforgettable.

53. Nigella Bites

The one message that comes across constantly with Nigella Lawson is that food is a pleasure. Astronomic book sales and international TV fame are proof that her less-than-perfect, finger-licking approach to recipes are just what women and men want to hear. And watch.

52. The Name Of The Rose (1986)

On release, the medieval murder mystery starring Sean Connery and Christian Slater was criticised for its lack of pace, though this particular jibe was never levelled at the "roll in the hay" scene between then 17-year-old Slater and his hot Chilean co-star Valentina Vargas. Needless to say, Slater turned to veteran Connery for advice on coping with the scene.

51. Risky Business (1983)

Like Porky's and Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Risky Business was an 80s teen sex comedy that left an indelible mark on the subconscious of a whole generation. Tom Cruise dancing around in his boxers was the scene that sent his career into orbit. When Rebecca De Mornay comes round to Cruise's house, left empty by holidaying parents, to ‘do it’ for the first time, the pair fulfilled the fantasy of every teenager that’s watched the film since.
