5. Basic Instinct (1992)
The film that introduced the world to Sharon Stone's crotch and gave Michael Douglas the chance to act out his sex-addiction on screen. Stone is the chief suspect in a murder investigation, while Douglas is the detective who gets a little too involved in the case. Basic Instinct's infamous scene comes when Stone uncrosses her legs under interrogation.

4. Out Of Sight (1998)
Steven Soderbergh’s adaptation of an Elmore Leonard novel follows a female Fed (Jennifer Lopez) who falls in love with the luckless ex-con (George Clooney) she’s hunting down. What really stirred things up was the red hot chemistry between Lopez and Clooney. The first sex scene takes place in the boot of a car, the couple are fully clothed and nothing happens yet the subtext of conflicting emotions and hidden desire made it Premiere magazine's 'most erotic moment without sex'. Lopez has become a worldwide MTV diva since, but on the silver screen she's never been better.

3. From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
Energetic low-budget vampire nonsense from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. More of a 'must watch' for fans of blood and guts than lovers of the erotic, but one scene stands out from the rest for pure, unadulterated sexy showmanship. Salma Hayek is Santanico Pandemonium, a creature of great evil (but great beauty) resident at the Titty Twister strip club. In front of a leering audience, she performs a fantastically erotic dance accompanied by a huge snake, a feat made all the more impressive when you learn that the actress suffered from a paralysing snake phobia!

2. Cruel Intentions (1999)
Hollywood's teen remake of Dangerous Liaisons had them going wild in the aisles for one particular scene involving actresses Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair. Gellar and Ryan Philippe play siblings involved in a Machiavellian game to ruin a morally uptight girl. Cruel Intentions' sexiness almost gets out of hand when the former vampire slayer teaches a young Selma Blair how to kiss.

1. Dr No (1962)
In one of cinema's most famous moments, Ursula Andress emerged seductively from the sea and caused bikini sales to skyrocket. Sean Connery was just an unknown actor when chosen to star as James Bond by producers Saltzman and Broccoli, but Dr No was so successful that 007 is still going strong today. So sexy is the Ursula Andress character Honey Ryder, that she regularly tops Bond girl polls even now.
