We have had a number of requests asking us about the future of the Prize For Short Film and we would like to thank you for your patience while we have been exploring the possibility for continuing the prize. Unfortunately due to changes within both Orange and Channel 4 we will not be running a second year of the Prize For Short Film. Both Orange and Channel 4 are still committed supporters of the arts and both parties are delighted to have been part of a project which champions the identification and nurturing of new film talent.

The short film prize site will continue to provide information on the Orange FilmFour Prize For Short Film 2001/2002.

Veronique was voted the winning film of the six shortlisted films taking part in the competition, by members of the public. The six short films premiered at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival and subsequently on both Channel 4 and the FilmFour channel, with the public being asked to vote for their favourite film by both telephone and online votes.
