The Transporter

Who knew that within Lock Stock's dodgy sheepskin coat lay a lean, mean wolverine? In The Transporter Jason Statham demonstrates his eagle-eyed action man skills - parachuting, scuba diving, martial arts and wrestling manly men in an oil slick 'til they're all nice and slippery. But for our purposes, the film opens with Jase tearing up the French Riviera in a fantastic, physics-defying car-chase. As a Christian film-monitoring website observes, it "gives new definition to reckless endangerment of others". Heh heh, oh yeah.

Apocalypse Now
Martin Sheen journeys through Vietnam and Cambodia to terminate flipped-out renegade US colonel Marlon Brando. But his mission becomes a screaming trip into madness, stunningly realised by Coppola's hallucinogenic direction and a cast dragged from Hollywood's Narcotics Anonymous
