Also on FilmFour in June is the premiere of One Nite In Mongkok, a superb Hong Kong crime movie of the sort John Woo used to make before he fell under the spell of Hollywood. Film fans should also be on the lookout for the debut screening of Thirteen Conversations About One Thing, a multi-story ensemble piece featuring Matthew McConaughey, John Turturro and Alan Arkin. Oh yes, the 'one thing' in question is the pursuit of happiness.

This month's Extreme strand boasts such envelope-pushing works as Michael Reeves' The Witchfinder General, Nic Roeg's brilliant if incomprehensible Track 29, and a brace of belters from Pedro Almodóvar in the form of What Have I Done To Deserve This? and Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!.

So, all of this plus the awesome documentary Capturing The Freidmans , John Carpenter's excellent Assault On Precinct 13 and Kung Pow: Enter The Fist it's gonna be a good summer.
