King Kong
SON OF KONG(1933)

Cooper and Schoedsack were quick to cash in on the success of King Kong. Desperate to avoid his creditors, who now have no beast to display, Denham returns to Skull Island to search for treasure. He hooks up with the fetching Helen Mack to find Kong has left an offspring...little Kong. Admittedly, the team were looking for more laughs than thrills this time, but given the motivations behind making it and the rushed pre-production, the result is, unsurprisingly, risible.

KING KONG VS GODZILLA (1962)

The mother of all bust-ups. A submarine collides with an iceberg, releasing the presumed dead Godzilla. Meanwhile, the producer of a Tokyo TV show sends two staff to Pharoh Island to bring back some narcotic berries and proof of a giant ape called King Kong. After a battle with a giant octopus, Kong drinks the juice that is made from the berries and falls asleep, and the TV couple tie him to a raft and float him back to Japan. By this time Godzilla has made it to Japan and is laying waste to the countryside. The only thing for it is to take Kong to mount Fuji to do battle with the big green lizard... An amiable slice of animation according to many fans across the world.
