Overnight is a documentary chronicling the misadventures of Troy Duffy, an aspiring musician and bartender who became a film industry legend when he sold his first screenplay to Miramax; and then gave his friends a camera to record his rise to the top. However, it soon becomes clear that Duffy is his own worst enemy - his egotistical ramblings alienate his friends, business partners and bandmates. Is he really going to blow the chance of a lifetime?
