In one of his best performances in years, Cusack stars as Mike Enslin, a successful writer with a line in debunking supernatural phenomena. As part of his research, he is determined to stay in the notorious room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel, a chamber long sealed because of a spate of unexplained deaths.
