Detailed Biographes:
Lee Williams
Ewan
Lee Williams joins the cast as Ewan, Head of English and unwitting
heartthrob. The merger with Wattkins Comp results in Bob (Lloyd
McGuire) losing his position of power to the much younger and better-looking
Ewan. But since Bob has reinvented himself as “New Bob”
and now claims to be laid back, cool and one of the lads, the demotion
shouldn’t be a problem or will it.
“Ewan is a likeable guy, who always tries to do the right
thing, but somehow he usually manages to get it wrong. He mishandles
his first meeting with Bob quite spectacularly. Then later in the
series, a friendly chat with Bob’s fiancée backfires
and results in the worst possible outcome for Ewan. It is clear
Bob hates Ewan, and wants him sacked. And because Ewan is quite
gullible, he tends to fall for all of Bob’s tricks.”
But what Bob hasn’t bargained for in his bid to get Ewan sacked,
is that Clare (Gillian Bevan) rather fancies her chances with her
sexy Head of English. “Ewan seems to be completely oblivious
to the fact that his female colleagues fancy him, and has no idea
why. In some ways, he’s quite innocent, which actually gets
him into a lot of trouble.”
While Ben (Mathew Horne) and Damien (Daon Broni) are childishly
ignoring their new colleagues, Ewan is breaking the rules by being
friendly and welcoming, even telling Penny (Tamzin Malleson) and
Lindsay (Vicky Hall) where smokers’ corner is and what pub
they drink in.
A former model, Lee Williams is probably best remembered as Jon
Forsyte in ITV1’s recent remake of The Forsyte Saga. He has
also appeared in a number of feature films including Me without
You, Lena, Billy Elliott and Falling. His television credits include
the 4Learning drama Losing It; Murder in Suburbia; The Debt; Boyz
Unlimited; Urban Gothic and Love Is a Many Splintered Thing. On
stage he has appeared in Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Tartuffe
and Loot.
