Giving up the Ghost
The revenge of Willie is nigh! After suffering the ignominy of a graveside sacking, she makes her move and launches project Medusa X to take Mode down. Not only that, she steals the staff to launch her own luxury fashion magazine for trend setters and jet setters – Slater!

With no staff and no magazine, Alexis and Daniel find themselves up a creek without a paddle. Haunted by Bradford's ghost – or a subconscious manifestation of guilt depending on where you stand – to honour her death bed promise to keep an eye on Daniel, Betty steps in leaving Hilda in charge of dressing the Christmas tree.

Gathering what's left of the staff, they allocate jobs to finish the magazine – Henry becomes the food editor, Alexis tries to convince the printer to give them an extension, and Amanda steps into her mother's shoes and writes the What's Hot feature. Meanwhile Daniel and Betty set off to rehab to break the cover star out so they can re-shoot it.

With the clock ticking down issue 412 is finally re-launched as issue 001, which is one more issue than Slater, as Willie's dad refuses to bankroll her. When she sees Daniel's cover tribute to Bradford, Betty realises you don't have to change, and if Daniel can do it his way she can still work at Mode and be herself.
