Another woman spurned, Amanda is almost as dangerous to Daniel and Betty as Wilhelmina, although her attempts at sabotage are tinged by a begrudging liking of Betty, and the fact she really, truly does love Daniel.

Always perfectly turned out, beautiful and catty in equal measures, she's not as confident as she makes out, and put her under the slightest pressure, and Amanda will start comfort-eating for America.

However, she's more than simply long nails and longer legs, there is a heart lurking beneath the couture. It takes a long time for her to realise Daniel doesn't love her, but it's a painful realisation when it finally sinks in. Of course, none of that stops her scheming against him to prove her loyalty to Wilhelmina, and taking every opportunity to snipe at Betty.
