If it's not one thing it's another, and if there's one person who doesn't need telling that after the last couple of days, it's this week's Manager, Adee.
With Sonja off sick and the evening team due in at 3.00pm for The Salon's late night opening, Adee had to rely on the services of Star Stylist Desmond Murray and a Junior Stylist commandeered for the day from a local salon.
The hard-working bunch got stuck into their work - Suzanne working her magic on a pair of size 15 feet, new kid Danielle washing and blow-drying like a trouper and Sandra glued to Reception after Adee's earlier rant.
Clients came and went very happily, thank you very much, and Adee didn't stop singing the praises of Desmond, who was busying himself with the afro locks.
"(Des) is the Don King of the hair world," Adee cooed to a Client. "He is the absolute governor," he went on.
As it turned out, it was lucky that Adee had been so complimentary for not long after he got a phone call he really could have done without, and needed a favour from the big man.
It was Ricardo, professing all manner of ailments, none of which allowed him to leave his house and come to work.
Adee, looking like he might pass out, begged the Brazilian to come in and just do a few haircuts. Ricardo agreed and turned up soon after, telling Adee "I'm only doing this for you!"
But it was Desmond who saved the day by agreeing to do a double shift and work this evening too.
And then things got back to normal.
Adee even managed to make a little joke when Geoffrey of children's TV show Rainbow dropped by for a pedicure. "You have to be a very strange person to have you hand up a puppet's arse all day!" he teased, and thankfully lovely Geoffrey saw the funny side.
Like we said, back to normal...
