Before Shipwrecked

What attracted you to spend five months on a desert island?

Probably the same thing that attracted everyone else: a ludicrously gorgeous desert island in the middle of the clearest ocean waters in the world. Also the prospect of a challenge and getting to know people I wouldn't normally socialize with, whilst hopefully learning a little something about myself… (well it wasn't gonna be the lamb's tongue was it now?!)

What were you doing before you arrived on the Island?

Internally debating the meaning of existence, pondering my purpose and place on this planet, whilst simultaneously trading my soul in parts for the spare change of an American clothing company.

What did your friends and family think of you doing it?

Friendship, which is always a rewarding achievement; personal gain and realisation of aspects of ones self otherwise undiscovered. That and learning how to open a coconut.

What do you think you will achieve by doing it?

I think it will be a really cool challenge and a truly unique experience! I also want to meet a big bunch of randoms and have fun while making new mates.

What's your longest period away from home prior to Shipwrecked?

A month perhaps, I'm not sure… if uni counts then 1 year.

What did you think about having to spend so long away from home with complete strangers?

I relished the idea. Small towns are hard to escape but easy to return to, this was a great opportunity for a breather. I can imagine for some people who hold the comfort of home in high regard it would have been a daunting prospect, but I was delighted!

What's your worst habit?

Over analyzing ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! I can't stop; my brain is a machine over which I have limited control. I also bite my nails then use the bit to pick my teeth, that's pretty damn rank isn't it?!

What's your best feature?

I don't know, my eyes maybe? Oh get lost...
