Before Shipwrecked

What attracted you to spend five months on a desert island?

I wanted to get away from the material things in life and to escape for a while, especially as it's time to put some distance between me and my ex. Oh, and I love a challenge!

What were you doing before you arrived on the Island?

I was working as a model and doing promotions work part time.

What did your friends and family think of you doing it?

They were all really proud of me!

What do you think you will achieve by doing it?

I would like to chill out for a while and have some time to reflect on my life so far. Only three months before joining Shipwrecked I split with my boyfriend of five years, so it's time that I climbed out of this cocoon and re-connected with my life. I also hope to gain more maturity while on the islands.

What's your longest period away from home prior to Shipwrecked?

I've actually done three months away from home before on a ski season.

What did you think about having to spend so long away from home with complete strangers?

I didn't mind the thought of being with strangers, but the worst part is the whole 'no contact' rule - it's horrid not to be able to call my Mum!

What's your worst habit?

Sucking my thumb.

What's your best feature?

My stomach.
