After Shipwrecked

Favourite part of the Shipwrecked experience?

Every day being able to wake up on the beach to an amazing view and to run straight into the sea for a bath – when will I ever be able to do that again? Also the times I spent alone on windy beach. But basically the whole experience I LOVED EVERY MOMENT!

Worst part of the Shipwrecked experience?

Sometimes feeling alone even though you were surrounded by lots of people.

Most memorable experience of the Shipwrecked experience?

All of the parts that weren’t caught on camera. All the late nights and parties – especially Ish’s dancing in the light of the boat in just our rain macs and bikinis drunk in the rain! The whole thing is amazing just to be able to have memories of it! All the people that were involved! All the talks, all the things the viewers won’t see.

What has been the hardest part of being on Shipwrecked?

The food situation – not being able to eat when and what you want. A lot of self-discipline was needed! Being away from friends and family obviously. Being brain dead – no mental stimulation – no trading, music, puzzles, television or anything to get the brain working, how you're used to in your everyday life.

Your most outrageous moment?

The chicken blood smearing I guess... but it was in honour and respect to our first killing.

Who did you get on best with?

There were a number of people I got on best with!

Who did you argue most with?

I don’t think I argued with anyone??

Who did you fancy?

No one really – but my eye candy was Chris Brain and my mind candy was Courtney.

Did you have any romantic involvement with anyone?

Nope, as I am in a relationship.

Would you do it all again?

I would without a doubt do it all again! I would leave right NOW!

Would you recommend it to anyone else?

I would recommend it to everyone! Believe you’ve gotta do at least one thing like this in your life!

Has it changed you?

It’s only changed me in the way that I’ve learnt new things which have now added more to who I am.

What does the future hold for you?

Hopefully many good things! Maybe I’ll become rich enough to buy my own island? Fingers crossed!

Before Shipwrecked

What attracted you to spend 5 months way from home on a desert island?

The opportunity to be able to live on your own island, almost like never never land! To be self sufficient, always wanted to be the female Ray Mears! To be at one with nature! I’m such a hippy!

What were you doing before you arrived on the island?

I was working as a secretary for a media company and hated it! Wasting away in an office with no windows. I’ve always had my fingers in lots of pies – also involved with promotion, modeling, acting and dancing.

What did your friends and family think of you doing it?

It was my best friend that sent me the information for the application and my boyfriend also told me about it. All of my close friends weren’t surprised.

What do you think you will achieve by doing it?

I think I’m going to learn so much more about myself, about others and how we deal with new situations. I think we will definitely develop an appreciation for all of the things we normally take for granted such as flushing the loo, a roof, stairs, privacy, friends and family.

What’s your longest period away from home prior to Shipwrecked?

I’ve been away from home a lot ever since I was young. I’ve had the opportunity to go to acting schools during summer and America to visit family. Longest time away is 5 months is America.

What did you think about having to spend so long away from home with complete strangers?

I loved the idea – strange people, new stories, new ideas, maybe new friends? I'm a bit worried about how I’ll get on with the girlies as most of my friends consist of boys, I’m definitely more of a guy's girl!

What’s your worst habit?

I can be stubborn and indecisive, but I’m not sure??

What’s your best feature?

One of my best features is my generosity, but overall it’s others who should say.
