What’s the best thing about being home?
Being back with all the people who mean so much to me… My family to whom I’m so close to, girlfriend, mates! Not to mention food – oh my word… I’ve eaten so much junk since returning home, I’ve put on about 3 stone and look like a hippo wading in the African jungle!
What do you miss most about island life?
All the Tigers & Tiger banter we had! And as filthy as this sounds…I do miss being absolutely filthy!!.... Washing was of no priority on the island…As I'm sure you could tell, it was certainly not my priority any way!! Eerk!
What was your most memorable moment?
My first night with “king of all one liners” Mikey boy! The girls put on such a great evening for us and it’s definitely an evening I will never forget! …I’ll say no more!
Worst part of the Shipwrecked experience?
Most probably being told the twist that either myself or Mikey would be sent “home” ....AND…lack of foooood!!! But…to be honest it was all part of the experience ~ & I loved it!
Who did you get on best with?
Every one got close to different people at different times, simply because the group’s dynamics changed every week…regardless of winning a newbie or not….but needless to say…my tiger bro’s Ricks, Williams & Collins!
Anyone you won’t miss?
There was inevitably going to be people you got closer to than others, and that happened – but I do genuinely miss everyone (in their own way – even if they were irritating at times ;-)
Who did you fancy?
Ahh….damn, I’m going to sound really boring and pull the “I had a girlfriend” card out ~ which was the case!…..however…there were so many incredible girls out there ~ and undeniably wished I was single so many times…..!!
Would you do it all again?
Eeeerrm….YES – when do I leave? ;-)
Would you recommend it to anyone else?
Yeeaahh…..it was an absolute blast out there – after reading this….go and apply- NOW!
How has the experience changed you?
Definitely made me appreciate my loved ones more than ever and understand how lucky we are to live in such a westernised world … or unlucky for some…if eating ants and killing chickens for the rest of your life is your thing!
Was being “shipwrecked” what you had expected?
I went out to the islands with such an open mind and had no real expectation … however it definitely wasn’t what I thought it would be like…but that sounds odd…as I didn’t know what I thought it would be like!!
What does the future hold for you now?
Well…just before I went out to the island…I finished university and graduated in Science and Philosophy, I then went travelling for a couple of months around the Caribbean and got back to the U.K. – was home for about a month and was given the opportunity to go on shipwrecked ….and have just returned…..SO….I haven’t really had time to gather my thoughts and know exactly what I want to do…..SO…think I’m just gonna ride the wave and see where it takes me….whheeeeehhheeeyyy!!!!
