What’s the best thing about being home?
A double bed, food- choice! Not having to share anything with anyone if you don’t want to!!
What do you miss most about island life?
My friends. Going to bed under the stars, waking up on the beach. Sunsets- Everything- I want to go back!
What was your most memorable moment?
Watching the sunsets and talking about our time on the island. Anna and Sarah and I- so many laughs! Barrie singing us to sleep at night - love you Baz!
Worst part of the Shipwrecked experience?
Finding out my bad personality traits. How ridiculous the arguments were, everything blown out of proportion because of the environment. Long drop- middle of the night, all the lanterns have gone out- pouring hard rain- one too many coconuts- maggots- you get the picture!
Who did you get on best with?
Girls- Anna and Sarah. Boys- Adam. My friends for life.
Anyone you won’t miss?
Despite arguments I miss everyone! However being back makes you realise who are island friends and who are friends for life.
Who did you fancy?
Everyone! Haha no, probably Josh- but I’m barking up the wrong tree there!!
Would you do it all again?
Hell yes!
Would you recommend it to anyone else?
Yes, most definitely- with lots of advice on the unexpected emotional rollercoaster.
How has the experience changed you?
I’m a lot more aware of who I am. I know my bad parts, and my good parts which once upon a time became very blurred. I have a lot of changing to do, which I think is obvious. I feel very lucky to have had this experience so if it has changed me it’s made me very grateful for the opportunities in my life.
Was being “shipwrecked” what you had expected?
No not at all. Firstly I thought I would meet a bunch of superficial people- Not one person on those islands was superficial. I learnt a huge amount from them all and couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to share it with me.
What does the future hold for you now?
Well right now I’m in limbo. But I hope to pursue my dreams, whether or not that means back to uni, I’m unsure. Taking each day as it comes. However I’m still as ambitious, if not more than I have ever been. I’m impulsive and I love it- I’m ready to take every opportunity and live my life to the full.
