What’s the best thing about being home?
The best thing about being home is being able to see your friends and family and being able to go to the gym and eat proper food instead of rice, rice and more rice!!!! Oh and lambs tongue!! And being indoors when it rains, I really can’t get over the fact that I lived outside for 3 months!! Madness!
What do you miss most about island life?
I miss the sun, crystal blue waters of the lagoon and white sand and being able to walk around barefoot 24-7. I miss sleeping on the beach with my fellow Shipwreckers and looking out for shooting stars with Baz singing us to sleep. I miss my long drop chats with Lara and the arguments with Tom and Danny about the milk powder! Never thought id say that?!
What was your most memorable moment?
My most memorable moment probably was when we swam after Adam and ended up on the pontoon then we all decided to be naughty sharks and swim to the Tigers, which then got me in trouble and I ended up being sent to live with the Tigers for 3 weeks because Adam didn’t wear his necklace! Naughty boy!
Worst part of the Shipwrecked experience?
The worst part was probably going to the long drop in the night and realizing that there were tonnes of maggots crawling on it!!! Yuk yuk yuk….oh and the first few weeks were difficult for me, trying to fit in with everyone when they had all already bonded etc, so it took me a while to come out of my shell.
Who did you get on best with?
I got on really well with Lara, Anna, Faith, Sarah, Adam, Danny, Baz actually too many of them to mention, I think I’ve made some friends for life! I got on really well with the Tigers too, they are all lovely!!
Anyone you won’t miss?
I gotta say I thought I wouldn’t miss anyone after living with them for 24-7 for 3 months but I miss every single one of them for different reasons.
Who did you fancy?
No one. After you hear their farts and burps a million times over it can make you have a slightly different outlook on people…..they may be beautiful but boy do they stink!
Would you do it all again?
Yes definitely, without a doubt, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done! What an experience!
Would you recommend it to anyone else?
Yes if anyone did get the opportunity to do it I would tell them to grab it with both hands because it’s an amazing, once in a lifetime chance to do something most people will never come close to doing.
How has the experience changed you?
The experience has changed me in a way that I feel a lot stronger as a person and a lot more focused on the goals I want to achieve within my life.
Was being “shipwrecked” what you had expected?
It was nothing I expected, it was a lot harder and challenging than I thought it would be and it put you in positions and situations you never thought you’d be in and from that you get to learn a lot about yourself.
What does the future hold for you now?
Well I’d love to have a career as a TV presenter but I suppose we will have to see how things work out, I believe now in reaching for the stars, as you can do anything you put your mind to!!
