What’s the best thing about being home?
I would say the best thing about being home is being able to watch football and use the internet.
What do you miss most about island life?
I honestly miss everything (not the Mozzies). Waking up on the beach, collecting wood, which was quite relaxing, singing with Rowan ‘Captain comb over, watching Mike ‘ bull in a china shop’ be tactful with people, Nick talking about something boring and everyone just falling asleep, teaching the girls dance moves. Everything, I can’t name one thing to miss. The banter was absolutely class. The sea, sand and everybody who made it one of the best things I’ve ever experienced in my life. Thank you.
What was your most memorable moment?
I just stood in the woods smiling and laughing to myself, sounds crazy but it felt fantastic. The most strange and wonderful feeling in the world, contentment.
Worst part of the Shipwrecked experience?
Without a doubt leaving at the end and having to come back to normality.
Who did you get on best with?
I got along with everybody, but I had the best banter with men of the Hawk Island. Shame they can’t show it.
Anyone you won’t miss?
Chops the pig, because learning how to make the ground oven was a brilliant learning experience. It enriched my respect for where my food comes from.
Who did you fancy?
Sometimes when you’re around beautiful people all the time it’s hard to see true beauty. I just came up with that. (write it down and remember it) I didn’t really fancy anyone. But I found certain people attractive, Lauren would be my type physically, but we are both big characters, she might feel a bit in my shadow (brilliant). Sarah Sole was very sexy as well- she knows how to be around men. I strangely really liked Sarah Davison, her personality really won me over. Her enthusiasm to want to learn and interact with the way of the Hawks, was a real attractive quality. All the girls are cute.
Would you do it all again?
I’ve got 2 words for you. Hell Yesssssssssssssss, this time for longer, and hopefully with more women on the islands.
Would you recommend it to anyone else?
Another two words, hell yes. I think a lot of young people need to do this, because hopefully it would change them and help them develop for the better, if they really embrace the experience.
How has the experience changed you?
I’m even more laid back, but I feel that little bit happier, more motivated and optimistic as well. Ooohh yeah and I’m buffer, when I get a trim I’m gonna be uber hot. Bring it on.
Was being “shipwrecked” what you had expected?
I have to say slightly at the beginning, but then they flipped it on it’s head and it got even better. Being shipwrecked gave me what I came for and more.
What does the future hold for you now?
I hope the future holds more happiness, because I believe the meaning of life is happiness, everything we do in life leads to happiness of some kind. P.S. BRING IT IN FOR THE REAL THING
