What’s the best thing about being home?
Now I’m home I’ve been making my way around the Isle of Sheppey teaching the locals how to use a machete. Coconuts are a mission to locate, but no miss haps so far and all limbs are intact...
What do you miss most about island life?
Waking up in paradise every morning with amazing people I’ve come to know and love. Then sitting on the beach watching the most amazing sunsets that you only see on a post card.
What was your most memorable moment?
It's hard to pin point one but loved our sing songs around the fire with Faith’s guitar and our silly game on the beach. Even the not so good times were memorable as they all roll into one to make an amazing experience.
Worst part of the Shipwrecked experience?
For me it was coming home and leaving it all behind and knowing it had all come to an end. Also arguments about milk powder, if I ever see another tin of that stuff it will be too soon.
Who did you get on best with?
I love all the guys to bits and they all brought something great to the Sharks but I will always have that great bond with the guys I started my experience with Danny, Lara and faith, we went through a lot that first night glad I started it with them. Then came along Keris and we were then the Sharks. Love you guys.
Anyone you won’t miss?
Not so much someone but something - THE LONG DROP! Ahaha being in that close environment you do clash a bit but nothing to make you think you don’t want to see people again.
Who did you fancy?
A hermit crab called shell....
Would you do it all again?
ARE YOU OFFERING? In a flash I would do it again. Without a doubt.
Would you recommend it to anyone else?
Definitely.
How has the experience changed you?
Well I’m two and a half stone lighter and its given me so much more confidence. I’m a lot more laid back and don’t worry about things so much. I’m much more active. I find it hard to stay inside after living outside for 3 months but the Shipwrecked experience has made me a better person inside and out.
Was being “shipwrecked” what you had expected?
NO!.............. It was better. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be but so worth it, loved every second.
What does the future hold for you now?
Don’t know that’s why it's called the future.
