Battle of the Islands
The Sharks return to camp in a triumphant mood after winning new arrival Nathan, getting Keris back after serving her three week punishment on Tiger Island and securing Rebecca, who nominated to move from Tigers. They now lead the competition with 13 members to the Tigers’ 9. However both tribes are left feeling nervous over what this final week will have in store for them after no new arrivals come ashore after the beach party.
The following day two boats with the 13 inhabitants from the secret third island arrive on the islands. The seven girls visit Shark island first and the six boys go to Tiger Island. When the new arrivals reveal to the tribes that they will be deciding the winners of the competition by choosing individually which island they would like to join at the final beach party the tribes react differently. With nothing to lose at this point in the game the Tigers are ecstatic but the Sharks are terrified that this twist in the competition has thrown the game wide open and the Tigers have another chance to win.
Over the next few days the girls are entertained by the Sharks with the usual fun and games including a donkey derby, and Tiger boy Ricky organises a football match to impress the new arrival boys. The only new arrival who doesn’t feel at home on Tiger Island is Joseph, who once again finds it difficult to bond with the Tiger lads and is looking forward to returning to the Sharks.
When the new arrivals swap islands, the Tigers are excited to be reunited with fellow original Char, as are the Sharks with original James. The Sharks hear about what a great time the new arrival boys had with the Tiger boys and are instantly concerned that most of them have come over pro-Tiger. Although they suspect they probably have Joseph’s vote, they know that winning over the other five boys may prove harder than they thought. Meanwhile, the Tigers find it a pleasant change to have the girls outnumbering the boys for once as they are joined by the seven new arrival girls.
With the day of the final beach party looming, the new arrivals all discuss the difficulty of making such a tough decision and the tribes comment on how nervous they all feel about the pending outcome of the final Shipwrecked Beach Party.
