Week Four - Lucy's blog
Hello!
At the Sunday beach party at the end of the third week, Amy chose the Tigers where I was an original member. However, I'd been feeling like I hadn't really connected with the other Tigers so I thought I should take the first opportunity to move to the Sharks so that I had the best chance to get to know the boys. Furthermore, it was, I guess an important move for the whole competition because I broke the mould.
I came to the Sharks along with the third new arrival - Ben. The atmosphere was slightly tense because nobody wanted him on the island, so it was a great relief when he went on Wednesday. Overall I've found that all the boys have been thoroughly welcoming and I can't wait to get to know them better. I must say that Joe is a fantastic character and we have lovely swims together and play with sea cucumbers. The beach on Shark Island is one hundred times better than the one on Tigers and we have been sleeping on the beach for a couple of nights, which I absolutely love to bits. The food over here is much better too - the boys, in particular Lorenzo - are great cooks and I get second helpings!
Another great aspect of this island is that everyone chills out so much more - and yet the building of the main hut is coming along well. I have made a small contribution to the hut; I've probably weaved about two palms, that's very lazy but nobody seems bothered.
I love it over here on Shark Island and I think I'll probably stay here until the end! (Probably much to the horror of the Tiger girls!)
