Week Two - Terri's blog
Hi everyone!
Can't get over the fact that I'm eating lamb tongue and liking it, urghh! The mood here is getting better, I'm really enjoying the days even when it's raining. The things that were bugging me about people are ok now. Me, Lucy and Lianne nicked rice pudding yesterday, only because Fiona and Sweep (Sophia) nicked the peanuts (luxury food item), Hee hee!!
I've got nicknames for everyone now, Fiona is Big Mamma but she's not keen on it so I'm thinking up a new one for her. The foods getting better but that's probably because my belly has shrunk!
It's a bit harder than I thought with the building. We still need to muck in better as a team and not talk about doing the building so much and actually get on and do it. We've got a massive table now though, but the only problem is that it's the only place that is waterproof. We've got white sand everywhere on the ground which makes it look a 100 times better and it means we don't wake up with black faces every time we sleep on the ground. I really hope that by next week we have a waterproof hut up so we have somewhere rain-free to put our sleeping bags. As for the long-drop (toilet), well it's a bit more like a short drop now but at least we've got a wall around it and a vacant and engaged sign for our privacy!
I love going crabbing and nearly caught a massive one yesterday. I made a spear out of bamboo and nails so I can go spear fishing tomorrow and hopefully catch a big one for dinner tomorrow night.
