The Object of the Game
As in past series, the Tigers and the Sharks will compete to win over the weekly new arrivals and after 14 weeks, the island to finish with the most inhabitants will win Shipwrecked 2008 and take home the £100,000 prize money.
Island Transfers/Nomination requests
- If a Shipwrecker wishes to move islands, for whatever reason, they can publicly nominate themselves for a transfer at the weekly beach party. They must put their case to the opposing island and the inhabitants of that island must agree, by a majority vote, whether they will accept the Shipwrecker.
- It is permitted for more than one person from the same island to put themselves forward for nomination each week. However, only one person will be able to move. The decision as to who, if anyone, is allowed to transfer is made solely by the accepting island.
- The weekly beach party is the only place/time when you can request to change islands and there must always be a minimum of 5 people left on an island at any one time.
- If a Shipwrecker nominates and is not accepted onto the island they wish to move to then they must stay and reside with their present group. If they are intent on moving, they must wait until the next Beach Party to put their case forward once again.
- Shipwreckers are only permitted to change islands twice throughout the duration of the game.
The Finale
At the end of the fourteen weeks there will be a final beach party to decide the winning tribe of Shipwrecked 2008. The winning tribe will be decided only after the new arrival(s) have selected their team, and any nominations have been made.
