Veronica finds out that her IVF on the NHS has failed but is too distraught to tell Kev.
Sheila decides to have a conservatory constructed in her garden but reveals to Frank that she buried her ex-husband under the patio. Sheila tells him that he died of a heart attack and she was so distraught that she had to bury him in the garden... without even removing all his gold jewellery.
When Frank confides in Veronica, she immediately plans to dig up his corpse to steal his jewellery. On discovering the remains of Sheila's ex, they realise that his death was no accident. Frank is terrified that Sheila may do the same to him and runs away to avoid their wedding.
After finding out the jewellery is worthless, Veronica explains to Kev that she only did it so they could afford IVF treatment privately.
She goes to speak to Sheila, who is in a complete state after Frank's disappearance. She explains that she killed her ex in self-defence as he would regularly beat her. Veronica goes to tell Frank the truth, while Sheila goes to the police to hand herself in and confess to murder.
Frank stops her just in time and the wedding goes to plan. That is until Frank tells Kev and Veronica that he and Monica never did divorce.
