Frank finds out he can earn quick cash by participating in drug trials. His worst nightmare happens when the drugs he is taking stops the effects of alcohol, leaving him unable to get drunk.

Marty finds out that Sue is in debt and helps her take out a loan. When she disappears, he is left to pay the entire sum back on his own.

Carol agrees to help Sue and Marty out with the loan on the condition that Sue stays with Marty for another five years, after realising that she has calmed down his tendencies to burn things.

Kev and Veronica are saving up to go on holiday together but Veronica is less than sympathetic when she finds out Kev has a phobia of flying.
