Mandy goes into labour in Kash's shop after being pushed over by masked robbers who steal her purse and some jewellery that belongs to her mother. She gives birth to a baby girl and when Lip finds out, he rushes to the hospital to see her. He is made less than welcome by the Maguires who throw several punches to his face before warning him to stay away from both Mandy and the baby.

Mimi Maguire is desperate to get her jewellery back and offers an award for anyone who will tell them who did it. Lip goes to find the perpetrators to prove himself to the family.

Meanwhile, Frank has forgotten about Sheila’s birthday and is desperate to find out the name of the horse that Kev is keeping a secret so he can use the winnings to buy her a present.

Frank manages to get the horse’s name, and just as Kev has secured enough money to place a bet, the whole of East Manchester do exactly the same thing. The odds go down and Kev gains nothing.

Sheila is ecstatic to receive a bracelet from Frank that bares more than a passing resemblance to one that was stolen from Mimi Maguire...
