JD and Elliot catch themselves in a clinch, and not a moment too late, Elliot stops the two of them from kissing each other. Elliot and JD both realise they are panicking about their long-term relationships with Keith and Kim.
Elliot realises that Keith isn't the man for her so calls off their engagement. Then gets back together again. Then break up again. Keith doesn't take it well... again.
Convinced he is saboteuring his own relationships, JD vows to go for a day without ruining any relationships. He manages to make it to the end of the day without ruining any of his relationships (apart from the Janitor) but realises that he does not love Kim, even though he wants to.
