American rocker Gene Simmons was actually born in Israel, and moved to the US when he was young. Famed across the world as the Demon guitarist from Kiss, Gene is best known for his freaky face paint, crazy on-stage antics, over-the-top lifestyle, and his claim that he has slept with over 4,600 women!
But Gene is also a shrewd businessman. He formed his first band in his early 20s with Kiss co-founder Paul Stanley, and they went on to become one of the top rock acts of all time. After 30 years touring and with 43 gold records, Gene didn't stop there. He discovered 80s rock legends Van Halen, had a short stint managing Liza Minnelli's career, and released a solo album. More recently, Gene has appeared in several films, written an autobiography, created his own magazine, developed a clothing range and hosted a TV talk show.
