How To Talk To A Widower
How To Talk To A Widower is the moving, funny yet sad tale of a widower. When Doug Parker married Hailey - beautiful, smart and ten years older - he left his carefree life behind to live with her and her teenage son, Russ, in the suburbs. Three years later, Hailey has been dead for a year, and Doug, a widower at 29, just wants to drown himself in self-pity and alcohol. But his family has other ideas! Russ is furious with Doug for not adopting him after Hailey died, and has fallen in with a bad crowd.

Dining
At One&Only Le Saint Géran, dining is an experience of gastronomic world discovery and delight, worthy of all senses. With recognition as the Best Hotel in the World for Food in the 2005 Conde Nast Traveller (UK) Readers’ Awards, guests at the resort can expect a culinary experience that is the pick of Mauritius, and far beyond imagination.

From the cuisine of Michelin-starred Chef Alain Ducasse who will be joined shortly by Michelin-starred Chef Vineet Bhatia, to the relaxed ambience of the thatched-roof Pool Bar, guests enjoy a variety of restaurants and bars catering to every taste, mood and occasion.

Spoon des Îles
The jewel in One&Only Le Saint Géran's gastronomic crown is the ‘haute-couture’ gourmet restaurant Spoon des Îles, creation of world-renowned Michelin-Star chef Alain Ducasse. Spoon des Îles represents the first venture out of Paris of Monsieur Ducasse's Spoon Food & Wine restaurant and explores the world of food with a tempting array of multi-ethnic cuisines matched by the finest selected wines, chosen by Monsieur Ducasse's trusted sommelier, Gérard Margeon.

Rasoi by Vineet
Michelin starred Vineet Bhatia opens his highly acclaimed restaurant Rasoi at One&Only Le Saint Géran in October 2007. The new tropical waterside restaurant will enjoy a magnificent natural setting, with views of the green sugarcane-clad mountains and the private lagoon. The show kitchen will feature Vineet's signature live acts including a TAK-A-TAK grill, a form of traditional Indian Tepanyaki, an open charcoal grill, a Rooma Roti and two Tandoors.

La Terrasse
Surrounding the pool and overlooking the Indian Ocean, La Terrasse offers an eclectic variety of local and international specialities. Breakfast offers a sumptuous buffet featuring eggs cooked to order, fresh baked breads, pastries, cheeses, tropical fruit, freshly ground coffees and vanilla-flavoured Mauritian tea. Lunch follows with a choice of fresh local fish and seafood complemented with Asian-inspired specialties.

Nightly entertainment accompanies dinner, providing an exquisite voyage of cultural discovery. Table d’hôte menus feature mouth-watering crayfish and prawns straight from the ocean, spicy temptations of home-grown Creole cuisine, and the delicate subtleties of France, India, China and Asia.

Spa and Fitness
Acclaimed internationally as a rejuvenating destination spa, the resort received the 2005 Best Overseas Hotel Spa award from the readers of Conde Nast Traveller (UK). With its sublime pampering and holistic approach of its Givenchy Spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities, guests are enveloped in programmes of renewal that both energise and calm.

Givenchy Spa
With a requisite that the locale be ‘magical,’ there are only a handful of Givenchy Spas in the world, and one of them makes its home at One&Only Le Saint Géran. The Givenchy Spa is a haven of well-being, a temple dedicated to beauty and serenity, where mind and body are relaxed and soothed by dedicated and professional staff. The tropical garden and superb lap pool are designed to blend in harmony with the resort’s architecture. Using Swisscare products by Group LVMH Laboratories developed specifically for Givenchy, the experience is unique. From a simple sauna to full hydrotherapy, reflexology or a massage, Givenchy Spa invites guests to unwind and rediscover physical and mental harmony.
