Williamson was the first to take the initiative when he hit a straight on the river to win a big pot against Henriksson. Swedish captain Bo Sehlstedt called an inspired Time Out at this point to reassure Henriksson and keep him focussed on the job in hand. Henriksson responded with some strong play and when his AQ beat Devilfish's 44 he doubled up to leave Great Britain in trouble. Then, Devilfish found himself all-in with K9 against Williamson's AJ. The American hit a Jack on the turn and the defending champions Great Britain were out in third place. Williamson began the heads-up with a slight advantage and dominated the early play to establish an 84k/16k lead. However, rather than going for the jugular, he seemed to slow down and gave his opponent the chance to recover. The USA Team didn't like what they were seeing and called a Time Out to advise their captain. Their advice was to be more aggressive but this seemed to confuse Williamson and the tide quickly turned. Henriksson seized his opportunity, won some big pots and his confidence grew. Williamson sensed his chance had gone and the Swede prevailed to clinch the Poker Nations Cup.
